Mari Eriksmoen
Mari Eriksmoen The Norwegian coloratura soprano Mari Eriksmoen studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music with Prof. Barbro Marklund and Prof. Håkan Hagegård, Concervatoire National Superieur in Paris with Prof. Isabelle Guillaud. Since 2007 she has studied with Prof. Susanna Eken at the Opera Academy in Copenhagen. Mari made her debut with the Norwegian State Opera at the age of 23, singing parts like Adele (Die Fledermaus) and Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) on a national tour in Norway, and she was recently one of the soloists at the Opening Gala perfomances of the new opera house in Oslo. Mari has won several prizes such as the 1st prize in the National competition for young singers in Norway, 2nd Prize in "Kokkola Lied Competition" in Finland in 2007, and the award for Best Chamber Music Performance at "The International Lied Competition for Young Artists" in Germany. She was awarded a finalist prize at the "Queen Sonja International Competition" in 2007. In the 2009 season Mari sang Barbarina in "Le Nozze di Figaro" at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, as well as Musetta in "La Boheme" at Oscarsborg Summer Opera in Norway. In May 2010 she will sing one of the main parts in the world premiere of the opera "Around the World in 80 days" at the Norwegian State Opera. |
