Athina Sotirakou
Athina Sotirakou The Greek mezzo soprano Athina Sotirakou was born in Athens, Greece, where she studied and graduated from the 'ARCHI' acting and dramatic art school. She then finished a supplementary acting course led by A.Manolikakis (Professor, Stage Manager and Life Member of Actors Studio New York). Apart from her studies as an actress, Athina also studied music at the National Conservatory of Athens where she had piano lessons and studied classical singing. After graduating from the National Conservatory she continued her singing studies in Italy with the famous opera singers Enzio Spatola, Mirella Freni and Carlo Colombara. Then, while living in Italy, she participated in the Opera Evening of 2007 in Bologna. After returning to Athens Athina continued her career, currently working as a freelancer and participating in several musical and theatrical performances as well as singing and reciting in poetical evenings. Athina includes 'Carmen' and 'Cherubino' among her roles. |
