John Lidal
John Lidal Recognized as one of todays's leading vocal coaches and concert accompanists, Mr.Lidal continues his work worldwide as a pianist, coach, and mentor for advanced leveled singers. Lidal works regularly with established artists from the Metropolitan Opera and other renowned companies, as well as being affiliated with several leading voice teachers. He has worked throughout the United States and Europe with such artists as Licia Albanese, Thomas Allen, Martina Arroyo, Fedora Barbieri, Ingrid Bjoner, Mignon Dunn, Håkan Hagegård, Marilyn Horne, Tom Krause, Catherine Malfitano, Sherrill Milnes, Anna Moffo, Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz, Gabriella Tucci, and Sarah Walker. Mr. Lidal divides his time between Europe and New York where he serves on the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music since 2002. He maintains private coaching studios in London, Paris, Berlin, and in Oslo where he also works at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, as well as at The New Opera (Den Nye Opera) in Bergen. 
John Lidal coaching members of the The Utsikten Chamber Choir John Lidal is regularly invited to give masterclasses, most recently at Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Berlin, as well as at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP). He created and currently serves as the Artistic Director of LidalNorth International Opera Workshop, which presented its first International Opera Workshop in June 2006, in Oslo, Norway, and which in 2010 will present workshops in Oslo, Bergen, and in Makrigialos, Crete.
