Hege Høisæter
Hege Høisæter Hege Høisæter, mezzosoprano, was born and raised in Bergen, Norway. She studied in London, at the RNCM in Manchester and at the Norwegian Opera Academy. After some years of freelancing, in 2002 she became one of the house soloists at The Norwegian Opera. Among her roles are Carmen, Cherubino, Orlovsky, Sextus (Mozart/Titus), Cornelia (Händel/Julius Caesar), Waltraute (Wagner/Götterdämmerung) and she has also been the leading lady of the original casts of new Norwegian operas by composers such as G.Kvaerndokk, O.H.Moe and G.E. Haugland. Hege is also an experienced concert singer and has worked with major orchestras and conductors, including Rinaldo Alessandrini and John Fiore, as well as in the oratorio and lieder genres. Her singing has been broadcasted many times on national TV and radio. |
