Zoe Zeniodi

Zoe Zeniodi is Music Director of the Broward Symphony Orchestra, Associate Guest Conductor of the Alhambra Orchestra and Conductor of the Ensemble 21 (Florida).

She has appeared as guest conductor with the New Florida Philharmonic, the Florida Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE). During her tenure as Associate Conductor of the Frost Symphony Orchestra, she released two commercial recordings on the Albany Label to critical acclaim.

'...the equally confident FSO is expertly handled by Zoe Zeniodi, who a mere eight years back was a Junior Fellow at the Royal College of Music in London; now she has a doctorate and two conducting positions with American orchestras: this one and the volunteer Broward Symphony, also based in Florida. You can confidently expect to see her climbing up the ladder very shortly.’
The Classical Review, Martin Anderson, 2 September 2011, "Frank Ticheli: An American Dream", Albany Records - TROY 1258

In addition to the standard repertoire, she has championed new works by living composers including Frank Ticheli and Thomas Sleeper. In September 2010, her book "Frank Ticheli: An American Dream" was published by VDM Verlag.

As a pianist, Zoe has appeared in the Purcell Room and St. Martin in the Fields (England), the National Opera House, the Athens Megaron and the Casa Dei Mezzo Festival (Greece), the Montpelier Festival (France), the Lisinski Concert Hall (Croatia), the European Union Hall (Belgium), the Internationales Theater Frankfurt, and the Gewandhaus Leipzig (Germany) among others.

"Zeniodi plays with sensitivity and gives to the songs a calm, colorful expression...and while Zeniodi in Debussy’s 'Chansons de Bilitis’ produces delicate dynamical transitions and lets the sound wave tenderly..."
Göttinger Tageblatt, Göttingen - 6 March 2000 - Torsten Brandt

She holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts and an Artist Diploma in Orchestral Conducting and Master and Bachelor Degrees in Piano Performance and Accompaniment. She is currently adjunct professor of conducting at the Broward College in Florida. During her studies, she won all the piano accompaniment prizes at the Royal College of Music, where she was named a Junior Fellow in 2003.

Zoe Zeniodi is represented by Ellison & Strømsholm.
